Special Care Clinic Visit - 5/4/10

Yesterday, we had an appointment with the Special Care Clinic at CMH for a regular follow-up and thought I would pass along some stats. Conrad is now 29.50 inches tall and 22 pounds, which so happens to be 9.74 kg. Funny thing is that Conrad weighed 974 grams when he was born...he is now 10 times his birth weight, exactly!

All in all, he is doing well. They want us to fatten him up a bit more by adding fat and extra calories anywhere we can. For example, if he's having veggies, she recommended that we put some butter on them to make them fatter/higher calorie for him. (I wish I could have that kind of diet recommended to me.) :)

He is still incredibly delayed in his gross motor skills, but we have an appointment with the CMH Rehab Clinic for that. She thought that was the best approach for him at this time. I'm very intrigued to meet with them to see what their thoughts are...the doctor that we are meeting with, came very highly regarded. We will definitely let you know how that appointment goes.

  1. Which Rehab Dr. are you seeing and when? Delaney's Rehab appt is next week on the 12th with Dr McCartan. Does Conrad go to the Lee Ann Britian Center (it's by Shawnee Mission)? If not you need to look in to it. We love it!!! Delaney has gone there about a month or so and she's already improved so much.
